another ex racer!

Another EX650 joins the fray... Took it for a quick spin around the block today -- did not make anymore friends with my neighbors...

Stock instrument cluster is bolted to the inside of the front numberplate. Speedo disconnected...

Happy with how its gone to date -- still need a proper rad overflow container, and am modifying my OEM bellypan to retain oil...

Primarily with the MRA (Manitoba Racing Assoc):

http://www.mrasuperbike.ca/_beta/_layout/_indx.htm

There are actually 4 ex650s that race against SVs, a TZ250, and a couple of RZs, along with a DS1000 and a Buell xb12R. THis is the last of a 2-year commitment I made to be head referee -- I had intended on quitting, but did this to see if I still wanted to race. I did, so I'm done after this year. Also took my other bike, a home-made supermono (single cylinder roadracer) to Mid America -- have gotten a taste for riding elsewhere, and so want to go to tracks like Edmonton, Alta, perhaps BIR (short track), and maybe even MidOhio or the track in Wisconsin.
I realize the modifications I've made to the front end would likely exclude me from some classes, but at my local, all the exs have USD front ends... the Buell is a former moto ST bike, the Ducati is tricked out, having a CF tank among other things. We actually can run slicks on our bikes! So its doubtful I can go in anything other than a 650 sbk class, or a Formula 40...
