The numbers show an improvement, but I don't buy it being a 2-3 top end HP gain. I also don't see how this is going to improve the velocity of the incomming air. Only one way to find out though! :P Gogo guinea pig!

So let me get this straight. You raise the height of the stack,
bringing it to the top of the air box. So now air entering will flow
around the velocity stack, only being drawn in by vacuum.
Plus short stacks = top end
Long stacks = bottom end.
Numbers don't add up.
Plus I can get OEM stacks off a certain year ZX6 both shorter and longer than stock
for a lot less than $130

Seems silly. Just do what I do and spray WD40 all over your airbox and directly in the snorkles any time you want a little extra oomph; it really speeds up the air movement and is good for at least 5 horses down low and 10 up top.

Or you can coat the inside of your airbox with Sterno.

That's actually a really good fucking idea... 800+ flash point so it's safe, but mixing ethanol and methanol vapors in to your air! Do you get a lot of dirt residue on the intake side? I would imagine, but don't see it hindering performance on a track day. Makes me think of getting a second air box just for track days :P
