As you would think, it is a hot rodded motor, geared high, etc. They were having problems in getting ready on a short time frame (bike was stolen), and with elevation. The pc/auto tune helped huge, got motor ready without time for dyno. Entertaining and informative story.

Autotune's great if you're ALWAYS on the gas. For anyone planning to decellerate regularly (everybody but a those doing a top speed test) autotune makes decelleration adjustments and the bike always makes a map too rich.

Map it or scrap it!

According to DynoJet, if you have an 06-08 with a TRC slip on and stock air filter, no other mods, their stock map M223-002 should be a good start point.

power commander / juice box fuel maps

Postby homerj1122 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 4:05 pm

hey guys I want to try putting together another, cleaner version of the many choppy posts with people's maps. I am posting 5 maps I have found others using just for a start to try out. Lets throw some up and see what we can come up with. Also, if possible please include your elevation (these maps I posted aren't mine so I don't know the elevation).

Any1 with a 06 ex650 stock air filter with Jardine GP1 slip-on map? Can be ether juice box pro or power-commander as Juice box pro runs both.

I know air temp, humidity/viscosity ect.... all affect mapping, but at least if someone has already done it i can get somewhat close as i am a poor college student (run on sentence but whatever)...

Here is a map for:
-New PCV Model #17-030 (w/ignition mapping)
-2011 650R
-Leo Vince SBK EVOII Underbody (db killer IN)
-BMC Filter
-91 Octane
-PAIR Valve capped
-No other airbox mods

It works great for me in the California heat at low altitude....

awesome afr table & map.

Postby 2009ninja650 » Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:52 am

here you go. i have been working on this map for months now. try it out and post ur reviews and input. so if it needs any other changes i can do them.
REMEMBER IF YOU DO NO RUN AN AUTO TUNE UNIT... DO NOT USE THIS! as you may live far away from phx and your weather and alt condition will change how your bike reacts. but if you have an auto tune. it will adjust for your specific conditions.
:cycle
how do i upload the map? :fool invalid file type??? ok just pm me and i will email it to you...

i have had no issues with running too lean at cruise. spark plugs look great and i also have 3 guys running my tune on 2 versus and one 650r and they have given me positive feedback. my car cruises at 14.4 afr.. so 14.0 on the bike isnt bad. now if when i pulled the plugs they were white then yes i would have to agree with you. The plugs were charcole gray. but thanx for your input.

Hi Everyone,

I've been working with the mapping using PC5 and Autotune on the 2011 650R. While I do see improvements in the performance, there seems to be a delay between opening the throttle and a surge in acceleration. I have this problem at about 3000 feet altitude above mean sea level. As I go down in altitude, this problem goes away.

How do I improve throttle response? Autotune trims have come down to the 0 - 10 range and the variations are more due to temperature changes than anything else. I have already done the pair valve mod.

Can I get more instant throttle response with:

1. Airbox mod
2. Removing throttle sub plates

Anything else I can do without breaking the bank?

I tried the map with good results w.r.t fuel efficiency in the city riding conditions but I didn't have time to get into the mapping. I've been using a different map.

Thanks!

the more you accept the trims the closer dialed in it will be.

i have a 2006 with the following mods:
-pcV
-jardine gp-1 exhaust
-BRP airbox mod
-secondary throttle plates removed
-pair valve plugged
-BRP clutch springs

i have been using the stock map on the pcV due to not having the autotune, does anyone else have a pcV with the airbox modded that wants to share there maps?
