just using dynojet's 001 stock map, its still a hell of an improvement over not having a map :) curious to see what other people are using.

Here is a Scorpion Map I got off the old ninja650.com forum. I have been using it for months. I tried the Arrow map for a week, but liked this one better.

Okay, n00b question, how do I post a map?

I am considering having a map made for my bike, I was quoted $60-$90 for a custom map and dyno tune earlier this week.

scroll down when typing typing your post, and under where it say's submit there is an option to upload attachment... just like you would attach pics, but instead attach the zip file of the map...

Found this one on the web and really like it

For Leo Vince slip-on and DNA filter and I have no idea for which LV slip on but I'm running it on the SBK and like it.

Tape :)

Here is the file he was discussing. He sent it to me. It ran a bit too rich for my bike.

that map from asm8636 is for lv gp with aftermarket air filter - snorkels removed - sub throttle plates removed - pair valve pluged and i have cut 2 more holes in the air box . it is definatly rich for just a slip on.

ya it works good on my bike also but we have the same setup. vertical flight wanted to know what all was done to your bike and i think jhalpinjr didnt do anything to the airbox or subthrottle plates so it probably is rich for him.

Your sig says you have a DNA air filter. Are you still using the map for the stock AF?

Yes, because it is the only Scorpion map I could find.

Trying to determine which map might be better for my bike:
#1) "EVOIII DNA" this is the one posted here by Verticleflight & asm3686 (LV GP EVOII, aftermarket airfilter; snorkels removed; sub throttle plates removed; pair valve removed; +2 holes air box)

#2) "M223-004" is a map from the Dynojet website (says 2006 Kawasaki EX650R, Leo Vince full exhaust (insert removed), Stock or aftermarket air filter)

My current set up is LV Full System EVOII DB insert removed, DNA Filter, Snorkels Removed, Sub Throttle Plates removed, PAIR valve removed, + 2 2" holes in my airbox. When I compare them using the MAP compare feature in the PCII PC software here is what I see at different throttle positions:
0 - they are the same
2% - Dynojet's 223-004 map adds a bit more fuel at 2k RMP, then same, then adds more for 3 to 5250 RPM, then equal
5% - they are pretty equal but the EVOIII DNA adds a bit more fuel at 5000 rmp, then equal
10% - pretty equal but the EVOII shows a bit more from 3k to about 7250
20% - similar but then the EVOII shows a more from 3500 on up to 11k
40% - EVOII shows more from 3k on up
60% - they are similar and both lean it out but the EVOII leans it out less all the way
80% - same here similar but the EVOII leans it out less
100% - same as the last two

Re: Fuel Maps

Postby Gangplank » Thu Nov 26, 2009 1:59 pm

So would anyone know which map might be better for my set up theoretically?

I know that all the mods I have listed that I have done allow more air in.

The LV full system will allow more exhaust gas out vs. stock headers

So what does that all mean? Guessing it means I should use the map that gets more fuel in so that I get more bang for my buck and I can flow the more exhaust out.

Any opions welcome from those who might know.

Gary BRP, any info appreciated... if I posted this in the wrong place just let me know and I will move it myself.

Ok, I think I figured it out. The richer map which is the one posted here is probably closer for me. I'll have to book some dyno time locally and test a few maps to see which is better. We have dyno runs at a shop here for $25 a run. :fro :sm

Do the dyno runs.At $25 its a steal. The dyno guys will only do 100% throttle. You will have to ask them if they can do the 80% run.

I had no idea that Yoshi finally gave up a pipe for the 650.... that's super. Would have been cool a few years ago as well. Anyhow with mild sarcasm aside, quick search netted a yoshi pic and a yoshi specific fuel map. So I'm guessing there is a powercommander equivalent or someone with enough knowledge of code to transfer the info.
