Not 650 related but I know a handful of you regulars know your way around motorcycles vet well! going to pick up a 2010 z1000 with less than 180 miles on it. suggestions on how to break it in at this point I'd what I am looking for. thanks in advanced for your replies.

At least up to 500-1000 miles.......

Don't ride it like a douche bag or a monkey fukn a football.
Don't try to find the rev limit.
Use common sense.
Change the oil.
Lube the chain.
Check the air in the tires.
Don't micro manage it. Just ride it.

If you need more technical data I'd buy a service manual.

How about some pictures? (It's allowed even though it's not a 650.)

thanks biketechted, plan on just riding it normal like you say. it's a 2010 that an eighty year old bought new, had lowered 3 inches cause he couldn't get on it! got 3 thousand for my 20,000+ mile 650 and paid $4,500 out the door ( retailed new for almost $11,000!), best part is it only has 120 miles on it! got a smoking deal! put the suspension back to close to stock ( was bottoming out with me and the wife on it on the way home!) got it dialed in now. this thing is amazing! Pics to come soon just super busy at work and trying to get through break-in miles right now. :cool
