Thats crazy looking to the side and seeing your wheel. Good thing he said it was a slow corner. I was watching it on SPEED and had to answer the phone. When I got back the station was changed. I thought the DVR was on record. Nope.
I now ride a 2009 Monster Edition ZX6R.

Doesn't instill confidence seeing tire situations like that. I heard the new tarmac at Daytona is rough on tires though.

Also, it looks like Biaggi had his ass handed to him this past weekend as well. Can't be fastest every weekend.

Hummm. Single sided swing arm. I’ve always wondered if that didn’t put a little added pressure on the wheel.

Isn't that what all cars use? How about planes and helicopter landing gear?
I think it was completely wheel failure. If the single sided arms produced that much more force, then I'd assume there'd be more wheel failures. This comes down to the construction process of a hand made Carbon wheel.
But, you may also be onto something and maybe that's why in Moto GP all the Ducati's use regular swingarms. :beer
