WERA Road Atlanta 6-26-11

Postby kanatuna » Tue Jul 05, 2011 4:28 pm

I ran the 650R along with my EX500 at Road A a couple of weeks ago. I finished 2nd in the Formula 2 race and 3rd in Lightweight Superbike. My best time was a 1:47 flat on the 650R and 1:49.4 on the EX500. The 650R handles pretty well except for the front skipping out on my from time to time. I really need to get some emulators in there. I need to clean up the intake/air box and all that jazz as well to get some more pull down the straights. The bike still isnt finished...it has whatever bodywork I could get free on it and nothing but some SV clip ons and an old Fox shock. I will be racing it at Mid Ohio for Vintage Motorcycle Days in 3 weeks.

Here are a couple shots from Road A.

Nice, I was looking on Mylaps for you results, but did not know your name, or that you were
novice{never did like that label}. 47's a pretty respectable time for a stock 650R.
I finally got into my trailer, and got the bodywork out if you're still interested.
I also have a LV full system I'm willing to part with.

lol Yea, Novice isnt exactly the best terminology but I can deal with it. I'm happy with the times... I could have cut maybe another full second with some more time on the track. I missed practice on Saturday with the 650R because I was concentrating on the EX500 for the races that day. I was only on the track for the two Sunday practices and the two races on the 650R.

Here is my racer profile. Brian Mullins - 626
I'm currently leading 13 championships with WERA across the nation and second in two others. I'm also in 3rd with the LWT series in MCRA. Its been a great season...

I'm definitely interested in the bodywork. I'm semi interested in the exhaust...depends on the price I suppose, as does everything. I'm really in need of some tricks/tips that you may know of to squeeze a little more power out of the bike without spending a bunch of cash. Any suggestions? You could email me at brianlmullins @ gmail .com

Thanks,
Tuna
