livery for the 2012 season

Postby riversbikes » Fri Apr 06, 2012 1:55 pm

Here is a pic of my ex650 racer. Some considerable changes from last season that had me finish the championship in 5th place. In my defense, there was an ex650, a tz250, a Buell 1200, and an SV in front of me at seasons end (and I missed a round, after not racing since May of 2007). Looking at the list, the GP bike and Buell (a motoST refugee) might be considered cheaters! Whining over, I should win some trophies for execution...Image

Big thanks to Gary @BRP for the deal on the bodywork (which you can see), the slipper clutch (which you can't). Rear wheel is a 5.5 from a 636; still have bored throttle bodies to install and setup; tail section is from an R1. Exhaust is a muzzy header, mated to a length of 2" stainless, ending with a gixxer 1000 muffler by scorpion. Why? The following website said the midpipe/tailpipe on the ex is far too short: http://www.mez.co.uk/mezporting/exhaust_length.html. Punch in the data yourself and you'll see. Kinda makes sense when you look at the (unobtainable) Arata systems.

A shout-out to my sponsors, Woodcraft, Racing Batteries (their ex battery is 5 lbs lighter!), Transcanada motorsports, CycleBoyz, and Pilot Leathers.

Off to MidAmerica next weekend for a trackday as warmup for the season... a 14 hour drive from Manitoba. Will be fun nonetheless!

I want to see a dyno chart.
Not so interested in total power but mostly interested in the power curve.
