I think the SV(?) clip ons have been used with some success.... check the search function, I know there are threads about this...

do some searching around the forums, there are A LOT of threads on this. I switched from sb to clip ons, look to work around clearance issues. I lost full lock but I love the feel of clips and the look better than sb's.

Suzuki SV650S clips. I think they are off of a 2001. I put them on over a year ago. Here are a few pics.

They are probably the rockwall clip ons. Some others on the forums have used these and liked them. Like I said, be prepared to have to move things around to make them work. Unfortunately the guage cluster is in the way of everything.

all I know is that when I lowered my front end to fit my driven clip ons which is still under 2 inches, my rear end lightened up alot. I am going to try a link to balance it out a little.

Sorry, I havnt been on for a while with the holidays.
With the front lowered does make the back feel lighter but I think I set the back in the middle setting to make it feel better. The ride feels good. A+ on the look of the bike with it being lowered in the front. I like it alot.

Great new bars (well, new to me). Devere's (great Irish bar/pub) downtown and Tuk Tuk out on the north side (Tai food, fabulous decor). Oh wait------ Never mind!

If you get the clip ons you will have to lower the front.
If you don't want it lowered in the front get the sport bars.

Exactly what I needed to know. I'd be comfortable with just the sport bars.

Thanks!

After a year of riding around on the sportbars, I am still very happy with them and find them very comfortable without changing the rake/trail of my bike...

Hey guys, I just got my 06 650r in november and I'm thinking about lowering my bars. I've thought about the sportsbars 2.0 and I've also thought about clip-ons. I read that with the clip-ons I would need to lower my front end. How do I go about doing that?

Hi Guys!
I lowered the Front and mounted the lsl bars. But what did you all do with the cables from the clutch and the brakes? If i steer they touch the instruments

Please tell me how you fix that problem, thanks!

I used a plastic zip tie for the clutch side and kinda moved the thottle side somewhat. The zip tie I have now is black. Youhave to look close. One is wrapped around the cable as a stop. The other one is wrapped aroung the cable and clip on.
