Did yall have to buy a new "Bracket", or are you using a 650 bracket, with you're upper? I'm talking about the one that supports the gauges and front cowl.

You'll need the Vortex fairing stay. Gary sells 'em.

Vortex doesnt make the upper brace anymore, catalyst makes them in house and they are much better than the old vortex version.

But it costs nearly the same as the fucking lower. I hate spending that money when I could do it myself with a drawing :P

Gary is finding out for me if they will pre-cut the 636 headlights in to the upper, that's gunna be so nice if they will :D

Not gunna touch the tail though, probably not till next winter when I decide to design a sub-frame to replace our excessive hunk of steel :)

I'm not 100% but I don't think vortex makes the bracket and I don't think catalyst makes it in house either and be prepared to wait a while to get it, I ordered my fairings around 1 month ago and my fairings have been done for over a week and a half all they are waiting for is the bracket to be delivered to them before they ship my order
jardine slip on, woodcraft clip ons, ermax rear hugger, oem seat cowl, integrated taillights, woodcraft rearsets, catalyst upper and lower

vortex made the old bracket which catalyst then modified to fit the upper. and it was a huge POS that bent and flex very easily, owing to its extreme lightweight. apparently the new one is much stiffer and holds up better for street use

Adam -- I've got one with bent fairing-support-arms but the gauge-support part is fine. You pay the postage and it's yours.

Consider it done! PM me your paypal address and zip code. That'll be enough that I can fab my own.

I need a new bracket this old vortex bracket is crap and keeps breaking on me. The new bracket doesn't look like a direct replacement for the old mounting points on the fairing. Is there a special fastener for the new bracket?

I'm not sure. I use the base of the vortex bracket, everything else is custom fab'd.
